Our board had long been aware of our need to change our antiquated fundraising strategy, but we lacked a solution. When our team attended Benevon 101, it was apparent that some things were going to change. The whole team “bought in” to the concept and invested daily energy in the implementation of a model that helped us get our important message out to hundreds. When the big day for our Ask Event came, more than 270 filled the room, and the results were spectacular. We netted over $700,000 in cash gifts and multi-year pledges. This is remarkable considering that our current annual budget is only $600,000! It has been hard work, but then again, our former fundraising methods were harder and much less fruitful. Thank you, Benevon, for a model that challenges us to do our best—then stretches us a little further!
