Follow Up after a Free Feel-Good Cultivation Event

Q: What steps need to be followed after a Free Feel-Good Cultivation Event?

Sharon in Hawaii

A: Within a week of a Free Feel-Good Cultivation Event, just as with a Point of Entry®, each guest should receive a Follow-Up Call from someone they met at the event (ideally, this is someone they already knew). The call should follow the same five points as the regular Follow-Up Call:

  1. "Thank you for coming."
  2. "What did you think?"
  3. Be quiet and listen.
  4. "Is there any (other) way you could see yourself becoming involved with our organization?"
  5. "Is there anyone else you would suggest we invite to an introductory Point of Entry Event?" (Don't really call it a "Point of Entry," though; call it whatever special name your organization has for your Point of Entry.)

The caller should especially focus on asking for the guest's feedback about the event and finding out if there is any other way this person would like to get more involved with the organization or if there are any new people they would like to introduce. Your donors (since Free Feel-Good Cultivation Events are held specifically for donors and their guests) will appreciate the personal call that shows you value their input and advice.
