Q: We will be having our second Ask Event^™ four months from now. Should we send out our invoices for last year's multiple-year pledges about a month before our Ask Event or shortly after our Ask Event?

If we mail the invoices out before, can we include an invitation to our upcoming luncheon either on the invoice or in a cover letter, or should we do that over the phone?

A: We recommend that you call all of your Multiple-Year Giving Society Donors^™ to invite them to attend your upcoming Ask Event as special VIP guests. Those who do attend your event will probably give there, and some of them may be inspired enough to actually increase their pledge. You can then follow up with the rest of your Multiple-Year Giving Society Donors by sending a nice letter telling them that you missed them at the event and reminding them about their pledge payment.
