Making Your Free Feel-Good Cultivation Events Appealing
Q: Our Multiple-Year Donors don't seem to be coming to our Free Feel-Good Cultivation Events™. What more can we do to get them there?
Stephanie in Iowa
A: There are several ways to get more guests to your Free Feel-Good Cultivation Events. One way is to stratify your donors by giving level and then have different events for each level. Making each event a little more exclusive, for example by holding a private dinner in a board member's home, will catch your donors' attention and hopefully inspire them to attend.
Another option is to get a special mission-related speaker at the Free Feel-Good Cultivation Event—someone your donors normally wouldn't get to meet. Alternatively, you could preview the next phase of a new program or initiative before it is announced publicly, and invite people to a meeting or reception to get an early look at the plans.
One final tip: whenever possible, have each donor invited to these events by someone they know and respect. These personal invitations will also improve attendance at your Free Feel-Good Cultivation Events.
