Point of Entry in Fifteen Minutes?
Q: Can we do Point of Entry® Events that last for less than one hour? We are getting many requests to present our organization for PTAs and faith communities, but they only give us fifteen to twenty minutes. How do you recommend we handle this? Lucia in Arizona A: When you give a presentation at a PTA meeting or a faith organization and you only have fifteen or twenty minutes, that is not a real Point of Entry. We refer to these events as Pre-Point of Entry Events. You can briefly present your information (insert as many Point-of-Entry elements as you can, such as myth-buster facts and testimonials) and ask that anyone who is interested come see you at the end of the meeting. You can ask for their business cards to capture names with permission and then follow up with those people who are interested by inviting them to attend one of your real Point of Entry Events.
