Fundamentals of Sustainable Funding: Getting Ready to Implement the Benevon Model

Are you interested in enrolling your organization in the Benevon Five-Year Curriculum for Sustainable Funding, yet you know you are not ready to do so? Do you know you still need board support, a strong implementation team, and funding for the tuition?

Benevon is now offering private, one-day workshops for national nonprofits wanting to train teams from a minimum of 25 chapters to begin the process of implementing the Benevon Model. Each chapter (or member organization) sends a two-person team. It is designed for two-person teams that are serious about implementing the fundamentals of sustainable funding as they prepare to attend our full two-day workshop and, ultimately, our Five-Year Program.

Note: This one-day workshop is not a replacement for our two-day Benevon 101 Workshop.

By the end of this fast-paced, one-day workshop each team will have:

  • Defined and quantified sustainable funding for your organization
  • Designed a customized, sizzling Point of Entry® Event and a plan for hosting monthly Point of Entry Events for at least 100 people over the next twelve months, including:
    • An outline of a Point of Entry customized for your organization
    • A list of the first 50–100 people you will invite to your Point of Entry
    • A schedule for your private "kick-the-tires" Point of Entry for your board
    • Practice inviting people to your Point of Entry
  • Learned to conduct a sustainable funding board retreat to get the rest of your board on board
  • Finalized a plan for recruiting a passionate Sustainable Funding Team of board members, staff, and volunteers
  • Designed a customized cultivation plan for at least one potential major donor who could fund the tuition for your team to participate in the full Benevon curriculum
  • Practiced "asking" that donor for a large gift
  • Crafted a system for converting your direct-mail donors or members to in-person donors
  • Learned to "missionize" each of your existing events and designed your first Free Feel-Good Cultivation Event
  • Measured your progress on the pathway to our formal curriculum using our Sustainable Funding Readiness Checklist

Tuition:
Tuition for the one-day workshop is $2,500 for a team of two people. The team must include the Executive Director/CEO and one board member. Tuition for each additional person is $1,250. Tuition includes continental breakfast, lunch, and snacks. (Please note that tuition does not include travel and lodging expenses.)

Applying tuition to further Benevon training:
You may credit $2,000 of this tuition toward the $12,000 tuition for the Benevon 101 Workshop if you send a full team to a Benevon 101 Workshop in 2008. (Some restrictions apply.)
