The Eight Guiding Principles of Benevon

The Eight Guiding Principles of Benevon

Note from Terry Axelrod, Benevon Founder

Since 1996, Benevon has trained and coached more than 5,000 nonprofit teams to customize and implement our systematic process for engaging and developing relationships with individual donors.

In the process, we have learned a great deal about what it takes to have each organization be successful with our methodology. We have developed these "Eight Guiding Principles of Benevon."

Our intention in sharing this document is to make our point of view and our overarching objectives transparent to any nonprofit organization that may be considering working with Benevon to implement this model. We ask that each member of your team read these carefully before you decide to participate in our programs.

Ready for a Culture Shift?

Have you been wondering how to cause a culture shift? Are you hungry for a culture of authentic community engagement and a culture of philanthropy in your organization?

"Thanks for taking our fundraising to a new level: a change in our entire culture, a true cultural shift."

Terry Lents, Board of Directors
Child Crisis Arizona
Mesa, Arizona

"I can honestly say that the $1 million pledge we just received was the easiest gift I have ever had a hand in raising. The donors who made this pledge were people we had a long relationship with. The beauty of the Benevon Model is that it gave us the framework and support to keep that relationship going and to share our vision with these donors over time. This was the first major gift of this size and one we will never forget, and I have no doubt that our adherence to the Benevon Model made it possible."

Katie Fitzgerald, Executive Director
Center for Children & Families, Inc.
Norman, Oklahoma

"As a first-time attendee, I was warmly welcomed at the awards dinner from a number of Benevon clients from across the nation. They excitedly shared their stories of fundraising success and talked about the positive impact that they have seen in their organizations and in the community. It was an energized event that was fueled by the ongoing ability of organizations to grow and better meet their missions."
